There are about 1 million domestic bores in Australia. If each one shared their precious groundwater with a neighbour, this would significantly reduce the demand for expensive highly treated mains / “scheme” water.
This can be done relatively easily. No licence is generally required, and it is a simple exercise to connect your reticulation pipe work to your neighbor’s bore delivery system. You will need to disconnect your irrigation / reticulation pipework from mains (“scheme”) water first.
This work can be done by most skilled irrigation companies, for as little as $200.

If i share a bore with my neighbour, how do i go about developing a control system so that my bore operates independently of my neighbour’s, and the control systems do not clash?
